I previously wrote about the Hawaiian Civic Club of Honolulu and it’s 90th anniversary in December. HCCH had planned a family event at Waimea Valley, but due to a rock slide that resulted in the park’s ultimate closure, the celebration had to be postponed.
While the event is next weekend, RSVPs are due this week. So, as a new and young member, I’d like to reach out to any of my readers who are either members themselves, or may know of members, who might be interested in attending this event. You do not have to be a member of our Club. Any member of any Hawaiian Civic Club is welcome to attend and bring their family. The fee charged covers only about half of the costs incurred, but as the Mother Club, HCCH believes it is important to provide this subsidy.

As we mark 90 incredible years of the Hawaiian Civic Club of Honolulu, we retreat to the peaceful wahi pana of Waimea to reflect on the many accomplishments of those gone before us, and chart the promising future that lies ahead. Join us, the Hawaiian Civic Club of Honolulu, as we honor and celebrate the rich legacy of our founder, Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana’ole Pi’ikoi. Ua mau ke ea o ka ‘aina i ka pono. Indeed, the life of the land is
perpetuated in righteousness.

Cost $10.00 per adult, $5.00 children 12 and under. Includes entrance fee, continental breakfast and Pa’ina, cultural games, swimming, great entertainment, historical presentations, Native Leader guest speakers. Free self parking is available.
