Hauoli La Hanau (Happy Birthday) to me!

One of the best things about having my birthday today is that Valentine’s Day is exactly one week before, so I always know when it falls. A lifesaver, all thanks to my birthday.

I know it’s *my* birthday, but I do like to share the joy with others. So, in addition to going to Gov. Cayetano’s book signing, I’m having a giveaway here. If you’ve been reading Capsun’s Corner for a while, you probably know how much I like Moleskine products, might remember the Christmas contest I had, and that I like to have multiple winners. From the low response last time, I decided to make this one far simpler.

Here are today’s Birthday Makana For You details:

Contestants must guess the time of my birth, down to the hour and minute (for example, 10:10 am) and submit it as a comment to this post. Closest to the correct time wins. In the unlikely event of a tie (same number of minutes off), the earlier comment wins.
The prize: your choice of a single Moleskine Cahier or Moleskine Volant notebook. The Cahier is black, while the Volant is a royal blue (not too dark, not too light).
A bonus prize: I will buy a congratulatory ad for you on Chang Ads. I will recognize you as a winner here on my blog as well as mention the Chang Ad. The winner can choose if they want their name, email address, Twitter username, or website/blog mentioned.
Contest ends at 11:59 pm tonight, Hawaii Standard Time. While you’re more than welcome to guess after that, it won’t count for contest purposes.

The Fine Print

By participating, you agree that I can share your comment in a future post, and mention either your username or first name.
In order to qualify, you must leave a valid email address in the proper field. It doesn’t need to be in the actual comment, just the email field. Only I will be able to see it, and I need it to notify the winner.
Not responsible for lost or stolen items in the mail; if I mail it to you, that’s good enough for me.
Limited to mailing addresses within the United States. I only want to use one stamp.
Void where prohibited, taxed, etc.

Well, I was tempted to choose 10:10 a.m. but figured that might be too obvious so decided instead to go with 2:40 p.m., in honor of the fact that it’s one chance out of 1,440 (the number of minutes in the day).
