Memorial Day: A Sacred and Noble Holiday
May 25th, 2009 by Capsun
It’s Monday, but Props and Slops will not be here today.
Please take a moment to honor those soldiers who have served in times of war and peace. Their sacrifice to defend our freedoms, especially the Freedom of Speech to dish Props and Slops as I see fit, is something I am always grateful for. The appointed time to pause and reflect is 3 pm local time (less than 30 minutes from now). However, even if you don’t do it at 3 pm, I think any solemn moment of reflection will help to honor those today is set aside for. It doesn’t need to be a grand gesture and you can choose to do it alone or with others. Any gesture that conveys respect, reflection, and remembrance should be acceptable.
If you haven’t seen some of these already, here are some great posts to unite us on Memorial Day 2009.

Mahalo!

Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day. Here’s another great post on Memorial Day: Life, Liberty and Good Coffee
Aloha
Thanks, Capsun. I thought O’Ceallaigh’s post was especially moving and knew I couldn’t top it, so I just linked to it. I hope that today everybody took some time to pause and remember those no longer able to celebrate our freedoms with us because they fought and died so we could keep those freedoms.
