Mr. & Mrs. Capsun M. Poe
Jun 26th, 2009 by Capsun

Here we are, the former Bride and Groom, and current Wife and Husband, Earth and Capsun – Mr. & Mrs. Capsun M. Poe, although I think she’ll keep her maiden name for now.
I want to take some time to thank all of my readers for sending their congratulations on my recent wedding. I’ve been very busy as I only took Monday off and was back to work on Tuesday. So, for everyone asking for wedding photos, they are coming, but probably after we get back from our honeymoon. Once I do get them, I may post them here, on my photo blog (http://capsunpoe.blogspot.com/), or on my Facebook page. Oh, if you were at the wedding ceremony and/or reception, would you contact me about your photos? I’m trying to collect them from all over the place.
In the meantime, I did want to share my favorite photo that our friend (and photographer) Niki took of us before we went to Kona for our wedding. We used this and other shots for the centerpieces at our reception. Does the background look at all familiar? If you’re a fan of the ABC show LOST (http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost) like my friend Ryan over at the Hawaii Blog (http://www.hawaiiweblog.com/) you probably recognize this from the exterior shots of Oxford, where character Daniel Faraday (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Faraday) works/worked as a physicist. For those of you familiar with downtown Honolulu, you know it better as St. Andrew’s Cathedral (http://www.saintandrewscathedral.net/).
Mahalo!

My sincerest congratulations to you both Mr. And Mrs. Poe. May your lives be filled with all the happiness love health and friendships that you so both richly deserve. Aloha my friends.
Beautiful picture and congratulations Capsun and Earth! I wish you all the happiness and joy for long married life!
My warmest wishes to you both, Mr. and Mrs. Capsun Poe, for a long and happy life together! I am really happy for you, and for the world to share your combined light and life.
What a sweet picture!
You guys looks like a really nice couple. It was too bad neither myself or my parents were able to come to your wedding due to our illness. On the upside, I’m doing much better. However my parents are still sick.
Congratulations and best wishes! You look like a charming couple, and it’s great, Capsun, you have someone to keep you in line. Remember to to take time to grow and nurture your family. No one ever was on their death bed wishing they had spent more time at work!

Thom, Judi, Aaron, & Nancy: Mahalo for your well wishes and congratulations.
Nancy: I got scolded by *several* co-workers for coming in to work so soon. But I am taking the next 2 weeks off and we leave for our honeymoon on Monday. I’ll blog about it then.
Tricia: Ack, so sorry I missed you, so you get your own thank you. Mahalo for your kind words and thoughts.
Earth and Mino`aka,
Mahalo for the personal invite. We had a great time at your wedding reception. The food was delicious, especially the desserts (yum!) and the music was awesome. Not to mention, we finally got to meet the Nagano’s.
Have a wonderful time in D.C.
BTW, your photo above? That’s were Kona Grandpa and I tied the knot 33 years ago. Beautiful!!
Congrats Capsun -
My wife kept her last name as well.
A name is just a name… the love you share together is what is important.
My best to you both as you live a long, happy and prosperous life together.
So when does Capsun Jr. come?
Kona Grandma: It was great seeing you and the rest of the gang. It’s always nice when it’s for a happy occasion, like a wedding, than for a funeral. Mahalo for stopping by.
damon: Mahalo for the vote of confidence. As for CJ, we’ve planned for that, too, but it’s a little while off. And in this economy, we might have to postpone those family plans.
