Hey, I Kept My Promise…
Jul 14th, 2009 by Capsun
…and honored my commitment! That is, my commitment to keep in touch with all of you via my social media outlets. On the first day of our honeymoon, I blogged on this space:
And hopefully, I’ll be able to share it with you, either via my Twitter (@exbor), my photo blog, or my new YouTube account (whose power is unleashed with my new iPhone 3G S).
I’m quite happy to report that I really did keep in touch with all of you. But just in case you missed any of Tweeting, photo blogging, or YouTubing (is that a word?), I want to recap it for you here.
Let’s start with the easy one, YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/capsunpoe). It really was great to have my new iPhone 3G S which enabled me to post directly to my YouTube account, right from the phone:
- Inside the Jefferson Memorial
- Outside the Library of Congress
- The Hope Diamond (and one of the highlights of the trip!)
- “God Bless America” at the National Archives (on the Fourth of July)
- Art at Ben’s Chili Bowl (an excellent, famous, and cheap eatery)
- Marine One Arriving at the White House (probably my favorite YouTube video I’ve made thus far)
I was Tweeting like crazy, so I’ll spare having to put you through that again, but I definitely want to recap my photo bloggging which you can find at http://capsunpoe.blogspot.com.
- Visiting the White House
- C-SPAN…
- Taft Memorial
- At the steps of the U.S. Capitol
- The Lincoln Memorial
- The Hope Diamond
- Spirit of St. Louis
- At the Korean War Memorial
- Visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial
- Most photographed view of DC?
- Fife and Drum Corps
- George Washington’s Tomb
- Lines!
- Julia Child’s kitchen at the Smithsonian (definitely one of the highlights!)
- Inside the U.S. Supreme Court (but not as a party to a case)
- At the top of the Washington Monument
- American Idol at the Smithsonian
And this is just the stuff I shared with you. Talk about busy! Now that the honeymoon is over and we’re done with our wedding, I hope to be here at Capsun’s Corner more regularly than I have been for a while. As I ease back into things here, I thank you again for your continued readership.
Mahalo!

Well I kept up with you and all the photos from Flickr. They were awesome and I enjoyed everyone of them. I’ve subscribed to your youtube. Great that one with Marine One coming in. I’m looking forward to the Props & Slops. It’s funny what you look so forward to from one’s blog. No rush. You know I’ll be here to open my yapper all the time
Again congrats to you and the Mrs. Aloha
I kept up with your photoblog and youtube, too. I loved every minute of our vacation. I was so impressed that your new bride didn’t mind having all of us with her on her honeymoon.
Thom and quilly: I didn’t doubt you would see all the updates. Thanks for being a great audience! I’m glad we could share our honeymoon with you and other readers.
What a great vacation.
I will be taking a 5 day vacation beginning this Sunday… but it won’t be quite as spectacular as that…
And as far as the “Honeymoon being over”…. Well it doesn’t ever have to be over. LOL
