As I blogged the other day, today is the last day to hand-deliver your ballot if you are a registered voter in Honolulu’s Council District 5 (Kapahulu, Kaimuki, Palolo Valley, St. Louis Heights, Manoa, Moiliili, McCully, Kakaako, Ala Moana or Makiki. Advertiser Reporter Gordon Pang (@IntheHale) reports that 38.7% of ballots have been cast. This is unacceptable and we need to make it higher! So please encourage anyone you know to cast their ballot. Here’s some info from Wednesday:
You may also hand deliver your ballots to the Election Offices until 6pm on August 7th:
Honolulu Hale, City Hall
Office of the City Clerk
530 S. King St., Rm. 100
Honolulu, HI 96813
And no matter where you live, if you aren’t already registered to vote, why not take some time to register to vote right now? It’s a quick and easy process. And you can do more than just complain about our elected officials – you can make your voice heard at the voting booth.
In other news, if you read my posts all the way to the end, you may have noticed my plug to follow me on Twitter (@exbor). I’d like to thank (Advertiser blogger Catherine Toth (@thedailydish) for the idea. She’s been leaving that info at the end of her blog posts for a while, so I finally thought I should adopt the practice here.
Mahalo!

P.S. – You can follow me on Twitter (@exbor) to get more regular updates. Be warned, they are much more “regular” than my posts here.
P.P.S. – Did you know capsun.org has it’s own Twitter account (@capsundotorg) that Tweets whenever I blog here or on my photo blog?
