Full Disclosure on My PCC Visit
Sep 1st, 2009 by Capsun
As you know, I recently got a (free) chance to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center and see their new show, HA: Breath of Life.
It was an awesome experience, but before I start blogging about all the details of my PCC visit, I want you to know what I received for agreeing to join them. I wouldn’t want to lose my credibility with you, so I’ve included my best guess estimate of the retail value of the things I received as well as my business card to help gauge scale.
- PCC parking ($6 value)

- Kamaaina Admission for 2 to PCC and the Alii Luau ($140 value)

- Bag of Swag (presented by Lee Britos, one of our hostesses for the evening; individual components listed below)

- 2 Ha logo cloth bags ($20 value)

- 2 Ha logo light pens ($30 value)

- 2 Ha logo t-shirts ($40 value)
- 2 Ha logo keychains ($16 value)

- 2 Ha logo regular pens ($8 value)

- 2 Ha logo boxes of chocolate ($12 value)

- 2 Ha logo mousepads ($20 value)

- 2 Ha logo kane posters ($10 value)

- 2 Ha logo wahine posters ($10 value)

Total estimated value: $312. I’ll admit that’s the most I’ve ever received for blogging here on Capsun’s Corner (or anywhere else for that matter).
So now that you know how much I received from PCC, I hope that is enough disclosure for you to decide whether you can or want to trust my judgment about the great show we saw. And if I’m taking too long to tell you about it, you can always check out Ryan Ozawa’s post (he’s on top of it when it comes to posting right away). Rest assured that we aren’t required to write positive reviews for receiving all of this (although my experience was extremely so) – but I’m pretty sure our hostesses, PCC, and the cast and crew of Ha: Breath of Life are confident their product speaks for (and sells!) itself. And yes, it does. I’ll write again with my impressions soon.
Mahalo!
