You’re Invited to the Caldwell Campaign Kickoff

September 28, 2009 · 0 comments

To my regular readers, I apologize for not being around lately, at least not with any warning. While there has been much to blog about, I haven’t had a lot of free time lately. I’ll try to make it up to you with this post.

One of the reasons I’ve been so busy is a campaign that I’m helping out: for Kirk Caldwell, who is running for Mayor of Honolulu. In fact, today is Kirk’s big campaign kickoff fundraiser – and yes, you, my readers and friends, are invited. As one of my readers, the campaign has authorized me to offer complimentary tickets to tonight’s event. You can print this blog post and that can serve as your ticket to tonight’s event – you’ll just need to sign-in at the reception table. While you don’t have to RSVP, if you do plan to attend, I’d appreciate it if you left a comment, so I know how many people to expect.

Here are details of the fundraiser:

Today, Monday, September 28, 2009

Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii

2454 S. Beretania St.

Honolulu, HI 96826

As a dabbler in social media, I’m also happy to report that Kirk is really interested in social media and how it can allow more sharing and discussion. In fact, he was the one who told us, “I want to get on Twitter!”

These are all up and running:

We have also activated these, but will post content from tonight’s fundraiser:

Do you know of any other social media services that you’d like Kirk or the Friends of Caldwell to be a part of? Or, would you like to help with our social media efforts? Please let me know in the comments.

By the way, I hope to share why I support Kirk, but that will have to wait until a future post.

Mahalo!
