I think we should encourage everyone to pursue some form of post-high education. Whether that is trade school or college, it is the best way to ensure our kids can earn a living wage and remain in Hawaii. However, our kids will not be ready if they aren't attending school! I cannot tell you how frustrated I am about the school furloughs. Any progress that schools were making toward achieving AYP will now be lost or severely hampered. Sadly, it's our kids that are hurt the most and their suffering could be long-term if something isn't done to fix our broken P-20 system. Good post, Capsun!
